It’s is that time of year again. A few days ago the Toy Retailers Association in the UK announced the list of the 12 dream toys for Christmas 2009.
These toys all represent what is great about the toy industry. All are new, bring something different and will bring big cheesy grins on Christmas morning to all the lucky kids. These toys would have been huge seller in the run up to Xmas even if they had not made the hot list. Now that they are on it, they have extra attention and this is sure to mean that they are the biggest sellers for this festive period.
Many parent and relatives use this list to find the best and most suitable gifts to buy. The problem now this that they are going to be extremely hard to find in stock. As early as October, many of the big retailers have already sold out of these dream toys. Of course behind the scenes their back offices are frantically trying to order in new stock but usually this is not possible. The toy manufacturers work months in advance and new stocks can not be quickly located the good side of Christmas.
